Our sweet boy Apollo

Donation protected

We took our seemingly healthy 23 month old Bully boy to the vet for some routine dental work.  Blood work was done as per routine prior to going under anesthesia.  We were all shocked and completely heartbroken to find out that our sweet boy is kidney failure.  His kidneys were described by Dr. Julie Neil as looking like lumpy potatoes with scar lots of scar tissue.  Dr. Neil estimated that he may only have 6 months left to live.  What is so amazing is that his lab values say he should feel awful, be he is still his same old sweet self.  Dr. Neil is completely baffled!  We are all hoping that he continues to beat the odds.  In doing that, Apollo will need special food, medication, and regular weekly visits to see Dr. Julie Neil at Trailside animal clinic.  We are trying to stay optimistic that he will continue to surprise us all.  If you know Apollo, then you know his favorite human friend in the world Surraya.  Apollo and Surraya are soul mates and they’d be lost without each other.  His 2nd Birthday is coming up December 24th and we are praying that he will be here to celebrate. It’s difficult to ask for help, but the only way that what’s left of Apollo’s life will be a quality life is to have your donations so we can give him the treatment and medication he needs. Any amount would be greatly appreciated by family. If you'd rather make a donation directly to Trailside Animal Hospital in Columbia, MO. You can do so by calling [phone redacted]
