Our Surrogacy Journey

Donation protected
Five years ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. After my cone biopsy surgery my doctor called me and told me I was going to need to receive low-dose chemotherapy and both internal and external radiation. It was a lot to take in but unfortunately he wasn't finished. He then told me that these treatments would leave me infertile and unable to carry a child. That was a huge blow. Before treatment started I had to go through a cycle to harvest my eggs so that Bob and I would be able to create embryos that could be frozen for us to later have children of our own.
Fast forward three years and I am here, a cervical cancer survivor, ready to start a family with my husband. For us that means we need a gestational carrier to carry our baby for us. We recently met with our doctor and team to begin the process, and while we knew the process would be long, we were not ready to hear how much it was going to cost. We are looking at nearly $100,000 to have a baby of our own. And that is why we are here.
I hate asking for money, I really do, but unfortunately this is just something we can't do on our own. Every dollar counts as well as thoughts, good vibes and virtual hugs and we would be so grateful to anyone that is able to help us on our journey. We have a consultation with a surrogacy agency next week and we would love to get started as soon as we can.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
