Our Suicide Story

Tax deductible
This is our Suicide Story.

Robert Carter is 15 years old. He enjoys photography, games and of course loves his girlfriend Emily. Robert is passionate about raising money for charities, doing a sponsored bike ride for Heart and Kidney Foundation, and last year shaved his head, raising about £500 for ClicSergeant Cancer Charity.

Roberts ambitions are to go to college and study psychology, photography and health and social care and wants to continue helping people who are struggling physically and emotionally.

Unfortunately, Robert himself was suffering internally. Quietly he was trying to balance his own mental health with his own continuous positive attitude.

26th November in the evening, Robert was found by police sitting on a bridge contemplating jumping.

Since that date, our lives have been a rollercoaster of gaining stark awareness of Mental Health and searching for organisations that could give him the necessary support. Robert is now being monitored by CAMHS, an organisation that specialises in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

In 2017 there were 177 teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19 that unfortunately succeeded in suicide. In 2018, Robert almost became a statistic which is rapidly increasing all across the world.

This year, Robert is pushing back and again is raising money for a charity which now hits so close to home it has a bedroom upstairs in the family home. This year Robert is doing a Charity Skydive on/around the 22nd March; Roberts 16th Birthday. To do the Skydive, Robert needs to raise £500+.

100% of the money raised will go to Papyrus which provide essential support for young people who suffer with suicidal thoughts and mental health difficulties. Money Raised will help Papyrus continue there LIFE SAVING efforts to young people, and will also help them in their fight to change national policy.

Please help us smash straight through our goal of £500 by giving, sharing and talking about Suicide.
