Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
Over the last two and a half years, my wife and I have faced unimaginable challenges that have turned our lives completely upside down. What we thought would be a peaceful time in our golden years has become a daily struggle to survive, physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’ve each endured multiple serious health issues, including four major surgeries, chronic complications, and long recovery periods. My wife developed a Mycobacterium infection after her surgery, leaving her unable to work since August 2023. I’ve only been able to work 13 days in the past year due to my own ongoing medical problems, which have now forced me into early retirement.
We’ve always believed in working hard, doing the right thing, and facing life’s difficulties head-on. We sold our extra vehicles, slashed expenses, and even tried to revive an old business using products we had purchased years ago, anything to stay afloat. But despite our best efforts, the endless stream of doctor visits, hospital stays, and unexpected health complications have drained everything we had.
We’ve exhausted our savings. We’ve fallen behind on bills. We’ve been denied disability support. And now, to top it all off, our only car broke down and needs $1,000 in urgent repairs. It truly feels like if it weren’t for bad luck, we’d have no luck at all.
This isn’t easy for us. We’ve always been the ones who helped others, never the ones asking for help. But today, with humble hearts, we’re reaching out to ask for your support in this time of real need.
Your donation, no matter the size, would go directly toward:
• Covering essential living expenses
• Paying off critical medical bills
• Repairing our only vehicle for transportation to medical appointments
• Ensuring we can continue receiving the care we both need
• Giving us a moment to breathe and begin rebuilding our lives
Every bit helps. Whether it’s a contribution, sharing this page, or simply sending us a message of hope, it all matters more than we can express.
Thank you for reading our story, and for considering being part of our journey toward healing and stability. We are forever grateful for your kindness.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ron & Dyan Stokes
