Our Mother Zoila's Story

Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and acquaintances. I write to you on behalf of my mother Zoila, a terrific mother, wife, sister, and daughter, but overall an amazing human being. Three years ago my mother was made aware of kidney failure being below 20%. She is presently a Stage 5 Chronic Kidney patient, with 5% kidney function, which has been debilitating her health and daily life. Besides being on the Kidney transplant list in two states, my mom has had family members get checked, but to our misfortune, the candidates were not a match. As strong as we are, we realize the toll that the Peritoneal Dialysis has been taking on her body and other organs. Anyone who knows my mother knows she is a very noble and warm hearted human being. She is the kind of person who would go above and beyond for anyone without question. As you can imagine, it is difficult to see her in the situation that she is in because it has limited her to do the things that she loves. Most importantly, it has made her feel less human. It is a hopeless feeling for my family and I to sit and watch her experience this pain and not be able to help her. Being the mother of 5 children who she has loved and raised, there is one thing she never failed to give us; love and attention. She taught us the most important value; the importance of family. This is a very emotional time for our family because the woman who gave us life is fighting to save her own. I envision her dancing at my wedding, being present in the delivery room, and spoiling with love the grandchildren I have yet to give her. I imagine all of this with her presence. For this reason, I decided to utilize this means of communication to bring awareness to those reading this. As I mentioned, we are a very close family, but with this extremely difficult situation we realize our possibilities are running out if we don’t reach out for help to save my mother’s life. The only thing that keeps our faith and spirits up is knowing that miracles do exist. We give you our story because we want to not only bring awareness, but also in hopes that it will give a second chance to my mother, a grandmother, a sister, a wife, but overall an amazing human being. If you feel you want to be apart of this miracle in our family, we are looking for a candidate with blood type O positive. We aspire to prolong her life because she is the happiness in our own.
