Our Joy

With a heavy heart, we are sorry to report that our loving warrior, Joy Erkfritz, is experiencing another round of painful illness. Joy bravely conquered cancer in the past when she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a primary malignancy of plasma cells, a cruel illness which affects the entire body. After 8 years of remission, Joy was recently found to have a tumor on her spine, and is currently seeking further treatment.

 
Joy is a brave and bold mother of three, (Chrissy 24, Jordan 23, and DJ 17), a recent grandmother to a beautiful baby boy, Seven, and the human mommy to three loving pups. DJ is still in high school, and requires his sisters supervision while Joy is in care.

 
We all know Joy to truly exemplify her namesake, a truly joyous addition to all she meets. Joy will make any sacrifice for those she considers part of her extended family, a vast network of oddballs, loved and cared for by Joy's endless warmth and compassion. Joy would never expect anything in return for her generosity, but now is the time to take care of our girl in return.

 
With humbleness, we are aiming to raise funds for 1 year of Joy's rent, plus household expenses in the effort to maintain normalcy in the home for Joy and her wonderful family. We are thankful for any act of generosity, big or small, all will be appreciated. We cannot stress, how grateful we are as a family, to receive any amount of consideration, or physical donations. You may never know exactly how much it means to us, but do know we thank you, tirelessly.
