Our House! The Musical

GYTS is a locally formed musical theatre society based in Grantham, founded back in 2007. Our aim is to provide young people aged 16-30 with an opportunity to explore and develop their theatrical interests and skills by being involved in fully staged productions. The society also strive towards creating links with other performing arts groups in the surrounding areas to try and provide. a large platform for all Grantham’s talented young performers.
For GYTS’ 12th show we have chosen to do Our House! The Muscial. We are fundraising to help cover costs for things like our venue, costume, props, set and tech.
Our House is a muscial filled with popular songs from the band Madness and the book written by the playwright Tim Firth. The show features a range of ska/pop songs including the hit single “Our House” in which the show was named after. The show follows the main character of Joe Casey through 2 different pathways his life could take following a split second decision in a moment of madness and the ultimate consequences of that decision as the two worlds follow their parallel paths.
