Nurse, Mother and Beloved Friend

Donation protected
We don't really have a plan in life or know what's going to happen next. My 23 years on this earth having faced the ups and downs life brings the most important thing in life is to remember that family and friends are the reason you are who you are.

My mother, my phone call when I'm sick, my "I don't know how to handle this problem, can you help me?" Person. My role model and an inspiration to many. My mother chose to be a nurse to help those in need., although I feel like the profession chose her. Nurses are really angels in disguise, seeing the amount of care they put into their patients. She helps people without expecting anything in return, giving her time, support and money to help out anyone going through a difficult time and/or situation. She truly inspires me to the best version of myself everyday. I try to help out anyone and everyone I encounter that is going through a difficult time or just needs someone to be there. She has inspired me to want to work in healthcare to help others and give back to those in need.

Having to deal with the loss of my father in 2013, she became a single mother to me and my three brothers. It has not been the easiest road but, I believe everything happens for a reason. She is the strongest person I know. Seeing her being in the ICU due to the severity of the stroke she has suffered has been very difficult for me and my family. She is trying her best to recover and be as good as new. She will need a lot of physical therapy and will have to relearn to walk, talk, swallow amongst other daily physical activities to have a normal functioning life. She has taken care of me and so many others and I want her to have the care she has given so many others. I believe that good people deserve to be taken care of.

I chose to start a go-fund-me to help pay for the medical expenses we have and will accumulate in the months/ years to come. She deserves the best possible care, free from financial stress.
