Our Gift to McGadney for her baby girl Nairobi
Donation protected
Quanda Shawn McGadney was born and raised in Oakland, Ca. She was a graduate of Fremont High School. She enjoyed partying alongside tunes spanning from George Clinton to Ledisi. For a time, she was heavy into weight lifting and fitness. She was an avid book reader. Her work ethic was none other. She gave two decades of her life to being a civil servant to The State of California at San Quentin State Prison in addition to Cal Trans.
In her early 40’s she gave birth to her miracle baby, Nairobi Adia McGadney whom will celebrate her 10th birthday next month. In addition to her daughter, she had her sisters Priscilla and Candace and brother in law, David Stevenson.
Quanda, also known as McGadney or Gat, was a large and in charge personality. She kept it 100% real no matter the fruit or consequence. Her expectation from her friends and family was to also ground her with THE REAL. She would have it no other way.
Unfortunately, her life was cut short in a tragic accident less than one week after her 51st birthday.
As such, we would like to honor her legacy by creating a fund for her daughter to use in the future. We would like her miracle baby, Nairobi to know that by extension, her mama is still with us and making sure she is held down and solid.
Any little bit counts. While this may be an earthly, monetary gift, the support and implication of family being more than just DNA and investing in our future, is what this is really about. Let’s gift Nairobi a nest egg in honor of her mothers spirit and legacy.
