Our dog Squirt needs to have a CCL rupture surgery

52639878_1605610984409815_r.jpegOur dog Squirt who is a 8 yr old blue heeler loves to play fetch and has ruptured his cranial cruciate ligament it is one of the ligaments that connects the thighbone to the shinbone where they meet at the knee (known as the stifle joint in dogs) and helps hold the joint stable. Basically, it functions like a rope, preventing the stifle bones from shifting abnormally during activity. What Causes CCL Disease. It is very painful when it first happens and he will need surgery or we can let it heal without surgery and he will need to walk with a brace on his leg. The cost of surgery can go as high as $6,000 and a brace will cost about 5000 after the cost of the vet and the brace it self. This breed of dog live to be around 15 so he still has a lot of life to live. Squirt is our baby and best friend we go nowhere with out him he is always with us. They call heelers the Velcro dogs cause they never leave your side. I love him like I love my children and to watch him not be able to walk or jump or play breaks my heart. He looks at me like please help me and I just dont have the money right now to do that.  I have to figure out away to help him so I am hoping doing this works. Thank You so much if you can help. some more info on cll.52639878_1605612591865159_r.jpeg52639878_160561263478977_r.jpeg
