Our dog Bentley was hit by a car

My girlfriend and I left our dog Bentley in someone else’s care....on a walk he escaped from the leash, was hit by a car, and somehow walked away. We searched where he was last seen and found him limping on a train track. After rushing him to the ER, we received news that the damage was bad. Slices on his limped leg, a big gash/hole showing muscle below his belly; all hospitalization and treatments totaled up to a higher amount than we had even imagined. As college students we have barely any money, what we make goes to rent. We love Bentley so much he is such a good boy. He was abused for 5 years in chains before we rescued him. He is sweet loving and gentle. He doesn’t deserve to be in this pain. Anything you can give will help.
