OUR COMMITMENT TO ERIC FRITZ & FAMILY

Donation protected
Imagine for a moment asking your 36-year old son and his wife to join you for lunch, conversing with him and noticing his inability to gather his words. When he looks to his wife to respond for him, she informs you that he has been unable to articulate his needs for over a week. You suggest that they immediately go to the emergency room, which they do.  After preliminary testing, you learn that a CT scan indicates a 3” mass on the brain.

After determining that the tumor is, in fact, a glioblastoma (an aggressive cancer that is incurable), family members sit down with the doctor and are told that individuals with a similar condition are generally given 12 - 18 months to live. This young husband and father is Eric Fritz.

As a mother, the first reaction is shock is followed by anger and intense fear.  Why my son?  How did this happen? What can I do for him?

Eric’s mother is our good friend Deb Fritz. To say that she is devastated is an understatement.  Being faced with Eric’s condition, Deb has been reaching out to friends and family, finding comfort in her faith and community and is being showered with unconditional emotional support.

Presently, Eric requires assistance with daily activities as his motor skills are beginning to fail and he is oftentimes confused and unable to express his thoughts. He cannot be left alone.  Even though he has recently begun radiation and chemotherapy, his doctor says that he will get worse before he shows any sign of progress.

Eric and his wife, Abby, reside in Bangor, Pennsylvania with their three adorable children ages 5, 3 and 1. Since Eric is no longer able to work.  Abby is now responsible for the around-the-clock care of Eric and the children.

When we learned that Eric and Abby are in dire need of financial support, we decided to join efforts to raise $40,000 to help with housing, food, medical bills, childcare, auto payments, utilities and more.

Would you please consider a donation to help Eric, Abby and their children so that the emotional pain and uncertainty that they face on a daily basis is not compounded by the torment of financial hardship?

As a community dedicated to the well-being of Eric and his family, we are deeply grateful to you for your consideration of this request.
