Our Classmate Jody T Needs Our Help

Our classmate SHS '77, Jody Thomas has been beset by medical problems and multiple surgeries over the last decade, including a 6 month hospitalization in 2013 that almost claimed her life. Jody is fully disabled, unable to work with limited mobility and strength. Even so, she took great care  of her ailing mother in her last years and always offers help to others despite her own troubles. 

Now, Jody needs our help. Medical, living and transportation expenses leave her on the edge of financial collapse on a monthly basis. Money stress has contributed to her poor health and she experiences depression and despair. Her mortgage and taxes are in serious default. Jody needs funds to repair her vehicle (essential for her medical care), cover unpaid medical and living expenses and perform some critical upkeep on her home. 

It would be a fitting tribute to the unity of our class to help Jody in our reunion year and I would ask that each of us participate in this fund drive to support Jody's health and relieve some of her anxieties about the future. I also know Jody will derive strength from knowing that her friends, classmates and fellow Townies continue to care about her well-being.
