Our Caribbean Family

Most of you know that our family is from the caribbean islands of Anguilla and St. Maarten/St. Martin. I’m sure you’re also aware these small islands were totally devastated by the recent category 5 Hurricane Irma. Thankfully, our loved ones were spared their lives, but they have still suffered a debilitating loss. Quite honestly, our family is suffering, and we need your help.


The homes of two family members were completely and totally destroyed. Several more lost their roofs, windows, and doors. It rains daily in the caribbean, so subsequently, all of their belongings, from clothes to beds have been irrevocably damaged. They are without electricity, which may remain the case for at least 6 months, plus food is in dangerously low supply. Most are lacking the necessities to survive in this situation. Items such as flash lights, generators, tools to clear trees and lumber, plywood and cement to rebuild are scarce. That is also true of basic necessities such as  food, water, toothpaste, diapers, tampons/pads, and medications.


It is a dire situation that they are trying to survive in and we are reaching out to our community of friends and family to help in anyway that they can.  The needs are many.  A contribution of any amount will be invaluable in helping them rebuild.
