Hertz played us. Dead car engine
Donation protected
Last year in September, we purchased our first car together (and my first car ever) from Hertz. At first it was great, we thought we nailed it, we have a $25,000 loan in my name under the car. Thats a car payment of $360 plus $200 full car insurance a month. Not long after purchasing the car we had to replace the battery, the brakes, and now our engine has died. We and the mechanic strongly believed we were sold a faulty car and were jipped. We were given a quote of $3,000 to replace the engine. We are devasted. The last two months have been extremely hard for Christian and I. We have both faced deaths of loved one. His uncle passed two months ago from cancer, and my aunt who was like a mother to me passed a week ago on her birthday from multiple strokes. My family in Purerto Rico is devastated from the hurricane, and we are all wiped out finanically. Christian and I hustle really hard to make ends mean. This means we don't really get to do much of anything to enjoy ourselves and live life. I hate having to ask for help but we don't know what else to do. We are going to go after Hertz but we don't know how much that will really do.
