Our brother Shane

11-11-20 Shane was experiencing abdominal pain, that progressively worse throughout the night. He couldnt eat or drink anything without being sick. This continued to get worse and 11-12-20 he decided that it was time to go to the ER. (Shane is one that wont go to the ER unless he absolutely has to). 11-12-20 they did blood work, ultrasound and MRI which showed he has gallstones and one stone was blocked near the pancreas. It appeared that the stone that was blocked past but because of his elevated white blood count,He was admitted to the medical floor where they started him on antibiotics and fluids to try and get his infection under control. He has had numerous CT scans and ultrasounds 1st round of antibiotics weren't doing much so they had to switch it to another one. 11-20-20 he received a NG tube and picc line placed. Shane became confused, which the doctors suspected was in relation to his infection and medication. 11-26 Shane's white blood count had been decreasing over 3 days, which was great news, showing that his infection looked like it was headed in the right direction. 11-26 evening unfortunately Shane's health declined rapidly. They had to intubate him to help his breathing and ran another ct scan which showed his pancreas declining. Then it was discussed that Shane needed to be moved to the University of Utah. Any help for his kiddos and family would be appreciated..
