It is with great sadness that we must announce that our 6 year old Boxer/Lab mix Nemo has been finally diagnosed with "Poorly-differentiated Sarcoma". After his 2nd biopsy and a CT scan, the pathologists believe it is fibrosarcoma or possibly a melanoma. Regardless, the location of the tumors are on the roof of his mouth extending into the soft tissue and bone there as well as into his nasopharyngeal cavity. Despite the drain that 2020 has had on our finances with our restaurant being shutdown for much of the year (and the possibility of that happening again at any time), my dislocated knee with surgery coming up November 16, we have done everything we could and more to figure out what was wrong with Nemo, the baby of our family. It cost us approximately $5000 just to determine what was wrong with Nemo and now that we know that there is not much we can do, we plan on making sure we give back to him the best life that he has remaining as he has always given that to us. Nemo has taught his sister (retired Alaskan sled dog Tutu) how to love, play, and be a best friend. He is a joy to neighborhood children and adults alike. It is with great humility that we ask those who love Nemo for any help you might be able to provide so that we can ensure he lives his best life for as long as he can enjoy it. We understand that this year has been trying on everyone in communities all over the world, most cases far more difficult than ours which makes it all the more difficult to ask for help in taking care of Nemo's veterinary bills so that we can continue to provide him with the quality of life he deserves for as long as we are blessed with his wet kisses, stinky dog farts, and unconditional love.
