Our Beautiful Friend Imelda

To know Imelda is to love her. She is kind, generous, smart, and beautiful.  She is a loving wife, a proud mother to three amazing children, a loyal friend, a source of love and strength for her extended family, and a cherished member of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce family.

Last week, Imelda  was diagnosed with a Stage IV sarcoma that was found in her leg and is impacting her lungs. She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of Mission Trails Baptist Hospital, where she received extremely aggressive doses of chemotherapy. She is currently fighting with all that she has to beat the cancer that has invaded her body.

Imelda's husband began a new, exciting job two weeks ago, and has not been able to go to work since he learned of Imelda's diagnosis. He has been continually by her side since then,  providing support to her in any way he can. 

Many people who know and love Imelda have asked how they can support her husband and children, two of whom will be leaving for college this weekend,  in this time of need, and right now, contributing to this fund is the most useful form of support you can offer. Money raised will go toward expenses and resources to help Imelda's family while she is receiving treatment.



This is the beginning of a long battle for Imelda, but we know that she is a fighter. We ask that you keep her and her family in your prayers.
