Hello again, friends. Winter is over and it was pretty rough. We're in desperate need of help at Waddles'n'Wags Animal Haven.
For those who don't know, we take in unwanted pets as well as animals that are given to us because their owners either can't or no longer want to care for them. We cherish every creature that comes through our gates and provide care and rehabilitation to the best of our ability. Our enclosures and pens are desperately in need of renovating and repairs. The ice storms and heavy snow have done some serious damage to fencing and cages with some of them being wrecked completely.
Additionally, many of the animals that we take in require specialty foods or veterinary care and enrichment items so they don't get bored or stressed in a stagnant environment. The majority of our enclosures are built to larger-than-suggested sizes; it's always better to go bigger when it comes to living space.
Finally, and to end this request on a brighter note, we're still trying to install some cameras so we can stream live broadcasts of our rarer, shy and nocturnal animals. Since visitors don't normally get to see them we think it'd be a great idea if we could find some way to let people view them online (they're rarely out when we get visitors).
Waddles'n'Wags Animal Haven is (and always has been) a family owned and run exotic animal rescue. We're not a typical commercial zoo; all of our animals were either raised by us or nurtured by us after being rescued. We pride ourselves on friendly, educational tours that take you right into their living space for up close and personal visits. With over 80 species of furry, feathered or scaly critters there's surely something for everyone to enjoy. With your help, we'll continue to do so for many years to come.
So, if you can, please hit the donate button and help us give a home and some TLC to all of our amazing creatures, great and small. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you soon!
