Our amazing dog sitter needs help!

Hi everyone, I'm Allison and our wonderful, amazing dog sitter (who our dog adores) is going through such a terrible time, and we decided we wanted to do what we can to help out. Note: we did ask her if she would be comfortable with us setting this Go Fund Me up, and after much thought she finally agreed to let us try to help her, but she asked to remain anonymous, which is why I am not naming her here.

Her bad luck started when the owner of the home she has rented for the last 10 years decided to sell. She has been looking for another home to rent, but needs some very specific things as a dog sitter: a very dog-friendly rental near her clients and a large yard are the two most important. She found the perfect house right around the corner from her current home and was all set to move at the end of this month, but the owner informed her about two weeks ago that the home was no longer available, leaving her with one month to find a new home. This would be an overwhelming obstacle on it's own (especially in this rental market), but sadly her bad luck would not end there.

On Christmas eve her fiance was feeling ill and driving himself to the hospital when he had a seizure and got into a terrible accident, totaling her car. The accident and seizure combined landed him in the ICU on life support. Our dog sitter was in another state visiting her family and flew home immediately, and over the next two weeks his condition continued to deteriorate. Unfortunately, he passed away last week, leaving her heartbroken and without a partner to navigate her difficult house situation with. This also left her without a car.

We asked her what we could do to help, and while we are actively trying to help her find a home to rent, we want to be sure she's able to cover all of her expenses once she does find one. Rent is very high in our area right now, and the expenses associated with moving are overwhelming, even more so now that she is going to have to cover them all on her own. And on top of all of this, she is also going to have to find a car to replace her totaled vehicle.

We don't have children, so we feel the same way about her as we would a beloved nanny: she takes care of our dog every day while we are at work and whenever other needs arise, and she is so caring and special that we want to do whatever we can to help her. Many of our friends have started bringing their dogs to her regularly, which also shows how special and wonderful she is.
