Our 20mile bike ride for the orphanage in Bissau

.My friends and I will be going on a 20mile bike ride on the 30th August. I am helping my friend Kerry raise money for an orphanage in Bissau, please read her story

“Hi Guys we really need your help! :) Whilst out in West Africa we came across an orphanage 'Ninho Das Criancas' in the city of Bissau which is in a very sad and dire state. Whilst there we did workshops with the children and built them a rope swing to play on. The children have nothing and are sleeping on makeshift broken beds. The building is in desperate need of repair, overall paint job, and toilet plumbing. I am going to team up with a Gambian graffiti artist to decorate their home. With lots of fun and vibrant colours. We will be getting all the children involved in helping to make there home a better place to live. We would like to build playground facilities to add to the rope swing. I would also like to bulk buy school books and pens and hire a local teacher to go to the orphanage once a week. Any volunteers are going to pay for themselves to get back out to Africa but we will need cash to buy the materials needed and also food for them all. Anyone who knows me well will know my passion for helping kids and these kids need help so the begging bowl is out. Any donation no matter how small will be gratefully received. Let's get this project off to a good start my lovely friends.”
