Shortly after dropping my daughter off at the bus stop, Aaron saw our dog, Osiris hobbling in view of our front window with his back leg literally dangling behind him.
Upon going outside it was very clear he had been hit by a car. He had a lot of swelling in his head, chest, and back leg and lacerations on his face and body. He also had bruised and blood shot eyes.
We immediately took him to the vet, who examined him and said he took quite a beating and is lucky to be alive. At the time of our arrival, his right eye was not responsive and he couldn't open his mouth.
He got a heavy dose of pain medication and an IV to get the swelling down for further examination and x rays.
His left femur is completely fractured. He requires a surgery to put a plate and screws in his femur.
This surgery must be done as soon as possible before the muscle contracture is excessive, and the doctor has an opening Thursday morning march 29.
The examination alone today cost us $571. The surgery is estimated at $3,500.
If you could help us out, we would greatly appreciate it!
If we are contacts on any social media platform, feel free to message me and arrange payment through there or in person as well.
As always, please share if you are unable to help monetarily.
