O:se Kenhionhata:tie Land Back Camp

We are a group of Indigenous people gathering in the Great Peace to celebrate, learn, and advance in our culture. We represent several nations living under the peace of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum, and the Two Row Wampum.We are exercising our treaty rights by peacefully occupying Victoria Park in Kitchener Waterloo. Victoria Park has historically been the site of feasting, ceremony and trade and is deeply connected to the Nations that are the original caretakers of this land. As the city of Kitchener grew up around Victoria Park it also became the site of white supremacist behavior, racialized violence, and anti-LGBTQ2S crime. We are reclaiming this land in a good way, with good minds and good hearts. We are asking for donations to support this work! Donations will go towards art projects, medicines, cultural workshops and honorariums for Elders. They will also support basic camp supplies. Your support and donations allows us to do this incredibly important work, work that will profoundly benefit our community. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of this community.
