Support for Granny's Garden

Roberta Paolo, "Granny" from Granny's garden has been forced to  shut down all operations at all the Loveland City Schools due to a lack of funds.  These gardens aren't only beautiful, they have provided hands-on agricultural education to Loveland's kids since 2002. 

After almost fifteen years, this is one of the largest school gardens in the country. There are almost 200 gardens between the four schools.

These gardens not only grow tens of thousands of plants for students to plant, care for and harvest, the students at LPS have a "harvest lunch" where they are able to taste he fruits of their own labor.  

The gardening  experience has been  invaluable for the students, and the time, energy, committment and financial support Granny has given our community can not be overstated.    

Due to some funding that fell through last minute,   Roberta says the program can't pay the $ 10,000 October payroll.

"I've done it. I've put my money into it and my time into it and as much as I possibly could, but I just got to a point where there was nothing else I could do," Paolo said." (WLWT website).

This is our community's chance to have a real impact on the future of this program!  At a mimimum, lets help Granny be free and clear of any debt, by raising the $10,000 needed for October's payroll.  And, best case scenario, we could raise enough money to keep this amazing gardening program going!  We could continue to change the lives of our present and  future Loveland Tigers,  by giving the amazing gift of gardening.
