UVU - Cuba Study Abroad Program

I strive to be the best I can be because of the sacrifice and challenges my parents have had to go through starting with their individual immigration to the United States of America and currently with their financial obligations and other matters.  My parents strive to give me and my siblings the best life possible, from material needs and wants to the familial love that is required to progress.  

During this summer, specifically the month of July, I will be going to Cuba as a Study Abroad expereince facilitated by Utah Valley University.  The Cuba Study Abroad Program  will allow me to further understand the political dynamics of both Cuba and the United States, as it pertains to policies created and enforced both on a foreign and domestic level.  As Political Science is my major, I strive to include myself in new experiences in order to obtain a larger perspective of the political realm which encompasses much of what we are able to do and not do.  Nevertheless, this experience comes with a price tag of $5,500, which includes the air fare, the lodging, the payment of professors, food, and other necessary expenditures.  I am laboring toward paying a significant amount of the cost as is my family doing their best to assist; yet I will not be able to pay the entire cost of the experience without assistance from close-friends, colleagues, and other pertinent individuals.
