Hi Everyone!,
Its me again! I still can't believe the amount of generosity, kindness, and humanity I have received from each and every one of you back in September. From anyone that has donated $1 to those who donated much more, you all mean the world to me and I can not express the love I feel from the community. As we go into the Spring Semester this coming Monday, some of my funding has been removed. Though the money I received from the original campaign covers the cost of tuition, theres still the costs of living/textbooks/ etc., that would have been taken out in loans (and since I didn't get a loan this semester because of you amazingly generous people and my inability to receive a private loan, these costs are covered by the donation money). If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me privately if need be. I would truly appreciate any help that you guys are willing to give as I continue into my 6th semester. Thank you everybody who donated, shared their story, reached out to me, sent me packages/cards for Christmas, and those who shared and thought about me. Bless you all!***

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel and I'm 20 years old. I'm a student at Penn State University, going into my junior year, and I'm studying Animal Science with an Equine Science minor. Animals, especially horses, have always been the biggest part of my life. I've been riding for 8 years and I've always found comfort in these beautiful creatures through all of the rough patches in my life. My life took an unexpected turn when both of my parents passed away from cancer within 4 years of each other. My father passed away when I was 15 and my Mother when I was 19. Having to enter adulthood without either parent figure was unimaginably difficult and confusing, especially trying to navigate college. The only thing that gave me hope and strength through this time and up until this day is horseback riding and working with animals. After my mom died at the end of my freshman year at Penn State, it became more difficult.  Unfortunately, my funds to continue my education have changed right before the fall term and I can no longer afford to continue this semester. I want nothing more than to have a future in animal science and my chances of that happening without a college degree are slim. I am on the Dean's list and also have a 3.5 GPA, trying my hardest to get my degree. I work as a research assistant in a Lab at Penn State, and try to get involved with clubs. Please help me continue my education. Thank you so much for all your help, it means more than you'll ever know.

All of the money raised will be put in a seperate account to go towards my tuition/living expenses for this year and hopefully the upcoming year as well. Thank you so much!
