Orphanage in Cameroon
Tax deductible
A boy's orphanage in Yaoundé, Cameroon needs help to become reestablished in its new location. The children were displaced from their years-long home and are about to move in to a newly-constructed building with minimal accommodations for the more than 40 boys who will move in. There are, for example, only 3 toilets in the hastily-constructed building. Also, there is no currently no kitchen, so the cooking for the children will have to be done outside. The plan of Fr. Aristide, the priest who runs the orphanage, is to next build a kitchen, install 5 more toilets, and install showers. Your donation will help him do this, and help in the running of the orphanage! There is great demand in this part of Cameroon for help for orphans. Fr. Aristide has had to turn away many boys because of the relocation and the limited new facility. The money you donate will help him to expand the facilities and be able to accept more boys who desperately need good care! And your dollars go much farther in Cameroon than they might in the U.S. I have helped a little with the funding of the new building and every single dollar I donated has gone to its construction. I will take a trip to Cameroon either in December or next summer, and I will be able to report back to you from direct experience on how your charitable donation has been used. Thank you! Steve
