Orinda PD Drone + Thermal Camera

Thanks to YOUR generosity we are now expanding the campaign to include a thermal camera. We've currently raised enough for the basic equipment! Thank you! In light of the community's amazing response in helping us meet our original goal ($3,000 was raised in 6  days), we'd like to keep the campaign rolling! When it comes to public safety, a thermal camera is a game changer. Not only would it help us with Search & Rescue missions in Orinda's wooded neighborhoods, it would also assist us when looking for lost hikers in the East Bay Park trails. Additionally, we would make the drone available to other City departments including Fire, and City Works in the event of an emergency.  The Orinda PD now has a trained drone pilot/officer on staff and is looking to get the Department equipped asap as these tools save lives each and every day.
