Wild Italian Wolf Research Project

I have been invited to take part in a very exciting scientific research project studying wild wolves in Italy. The name of the project is The Appenninic Wolf Project of Vena Del Gesso Romagnola. The goal of the research is to study, observe and document wild wolves in the region using trail cams, print tracking and other non-intrusive observational methods, in order to gain a better understanding of the behavior, population numbers, pack structure and habitat range of the Italian Wolves. The data will be compiled and shared with other scientific research projects as well as farmers in the surrounding communities in an attempt to educate the public and find better ways for farmers and their livestock to coexist with the wolves. The data collected will also help to find new solutions and new ideas to aid in the conservation of these incredible animals as well as the preservation of their habitats. This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I need your help. Every dollar counts and I thank you for your time.

The expenses I will need help covering include:

- Acquisition of a passport

- Airfare to and from Italy

- Food and drink/water to last up to 4 months.

- Adequate clothing, gear and supplies for frequent week-long trips into the mountains and forests.

- Sufficient funds to acquire any necessary scientific instruments needed for personal use in the research (Binoculars, compass, journals etc.)
