Chelsea runs Boston

As many of you know I am running the Boston marathon on April 20th of this year. Running the marathon has always been a dream of mine. And I am absolutely thrilled to be fulfilling this dream. Whiles't having one of the snowiest winters ever training has been excessively difficult, every time I step out in the pavement I am dodging snow banks, puddles, ice patches, and speeding vehicles(I get beeped at a lot).

I will be running with the Boston Police runners club and we are running to raise money for a charity called Operation Progress Boston. Operation Progress (OP) was started in LA by Boston resident Richard Coughlin and his son officer John Coughlin, a Southeast Division Los Angeles Police officer who fights gang crime in South Los Angeles, they were deeply moved and motivated by young students who worked hard to keep up their grades and stay out of gangs to protect their future. They found that many times the only thing holding many kids back from a future outside of gangs was financial opportunity. After seeing the success of OP in LA they wanted to bring the benefits to their hometown of Boston.

Please help me raise funds for this great cause! Any little bit helps!

Please feel free to share!!

Thank you all for your support in training and fundraising! I hope to see everyone on the marathon course every little bit of support will help to make those grueling 26.2 miles just that much easier!
