Ophelia’s Emergency IVDD Surgery

Hello! This fundraiser is for my fur-baby, Ophelia. She needs emergency surgery for a ruptured disk in her back caused by IVDD (Intervertebral Disk Disease) which is very common in dachshunds. This surgery will cost between $6,000 to $8,000 according to the vet and is needed ASAP, as the injury could eventually cause her to completely lose feeling in her back legs/lose control of her bowels. However, her prognosis is very good if she has the surgery now!
I rescued Ophelia about 2 1/2 years ago and she is basically my emotional support animal. She stays right by my side when I’m dealing with mental health issues, migraines, or pain from lupus flare-ups. It saddens me that I can’t do more for her now that she is the one in pain.
