<div>ich eröffne diese Seite für meine Cousine Marina. Viele von euch kennen sie als lebensfrohen, aktiven und immer hilfsbereiten Menschen. Was jedoch kaum jemand weiß: Marina leidet seit Jahren an Lipödem im Stadium II – einer schmerzhaften, chronischen Fettverteilungsstörung, die nicht durch Sport oder Diät heilbar ist.

<div>Obwohl Mari nach außen stark wirkt und trotz Schmerzen versucht, das Leben mit ihren Kindern zu genießen, bedeutet jeder Ausflug, jede Aktivität und selbst alltägliche Dinge für sie eine enorme Belastung. Hinter den langen Kleidern und ihrem Lächeln verbirgt sich täglicher Schmerz: schwere Beine, Druckempfindlichkeit, Hämatome und das Tragen von enger Kompressionskleidung – selbst bei über 30 Grad im Sommer trägt sie ihre Kompressionsstrümpfe.

<div>Die einzige Möglichkeit, ihre Lebensqualität langfristig zurückzugewinnen, ist eine operative Liposuktion. Leider werden die Kosten in der Schweiz und in Deutschland oft nicht oder nur teilweise von der Krankenkasse übernommen. In Marinas Fall belaufen sich die Ausgaben auf 27.000 Euro (Selbstanteil der 4 benötigten Operationen/Klinikum Stuttgart) – ein unglaublicher Betrag, um endlich wieder ohne Kompression das Haus verlassen zu können.
