Operation Mississippi Gratitude

The American Legion Post 49 of Tupelo, has created Operation Mississippi Gratitude, an opportunity to serve those serving overseas for us as well as those left behind awaiting their return. Currently the Mississippi Army National Guard has 4,000 troops overseas protecting our rights and freedoms. The goal of this fundraiser is to ship each and every Mississippi Army National Guard deployed soldier one care package in the month of November, letting them know they are cared for and appreciated.

          Flat rate boxes will be used for the care packages costing anywhere from $13-$18 per box. Funding for postage is a crucial part of this goal. If the goals in completely funding shipping and items to fill the boxes are met and exceeded, there will be gift cards distributed to Mississippi Army National Guard FRG groups to serve the families of those awaiting their soldiers return. The American Legion is a nonprofit Charity so any and all currency based donations can be tax deductible upon request after payment has processed. Item donation locations will be based in Lee County, MS and announced via our facebook page (legionpost49tupelo). The morale boosting effect these care packages will create for our soldiers keep them focused on their missions and safe.
