Operation Help Save Ollie

My name is Sara and I've started this fundraiser for a dear friend of mine, Andre Biondo, for her horse Ollie. Anyone who knows Andre knows she is always the first to offer help to anyone and she would never ask for help for herself. Andre's beloved horse, Ollie, sustained a devastating injury in a pasture accident late last Wednesday evening. So far, they have confirmed that the laceration from a kick from a pasture mate does in fact communicate with the Tarsocrural joint, (the kick wound he received has caused damage to his hock joint and infection is a major concern). There are pending synovial fluid cultures and cell analysis' pending. Ollie is receiving daily treatments which include flushing the joint, IV antibiotics, pain medication and daily bandage changes. As you can imagine, daily vet calls and treatment is getting quite expensive. Andre is a college student who also works a full time job at a small animal emergency and specialty center as a surgery assistant. Ollie is her entire world and she would do anything to help her best friend. She is selling her saddles and anything else she can to help pay for Ollie's veterinary care. The veterinarians involved in Ollie's care are helping her out as much as they can and Andre has taken on as much of Ollie's care as she can. Ollie is a fabulous patient and is allowing Andre to flush his wound and the surrounding tissues without sedation demonstrating the complete trust he has in Andre. I know the financial and emotional toll this is all taking on Andre, and I know she would never ask for financial help, so I'm asking for her. Andre is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet and spends all of her day caring for other people's pets in their time of need. Let's help Andre and Ollie out in their time of need.
