<div>We feel compelled to come to action on behalf of our dear medicine brother Damiao, Txana Sia Huni Kuin, from the village Igarapé do Caucho, acre, Brazil. Many of you know him from the beautiful sacred space he holds together with his wife, Yaka, his Brother, Cosmo Txana Busen, and his brothers wife, Tamani. They have been traveling to Europe now for a few years and have brought so many blessings to all that have been present for these ceremonies. We have come to know Damiao to be such a loving, humble man, completely in service of the creator and all created.

<div>Last time he visited, he was in a lot of pain due to a knee injury that had never fully been looked at or treated. Our family decided to step in and schedule an mri to find out what was wrong and it turned out that Damiao had been walking on a very badly damaged knee for a few years, so no wonder it was hurting him so much!

<div>It is necessary for him to receive treatment in the form of an operation. This can be done in Rio Branco, which would mean Damiao will have to travel there and possibly stay a while to heal and rehabilitate.

<div>Because he is indigenous of the Huni Kuin tribe, medical specialized treatment is not insured or reimbursed. All together he needs around 7500,- euro to pay for the operation, the aftercare and the trip plus expenses.

<div>We have started this fundraiser so we, as a community, can come together and carry the costs for Damiao. Since we live in a world where the social structures don't always adequately step in to offer the help which should be everyone's human right, it would be beautiful to be this safety net for him together.
