Many of you who know us, know that Michael and I have been praying about growing our family for over 8 years!   The struggle with infertility has been very real...many times heartbreaking and often filled with questions.   Through it all, good times and bad, God has shown his faithfulness.   We can't thank you enough for all of you who have prayed with us, cried with us, laughed with us, and encouraged us along the way.    
After much prayer, and seeking the heart of God, we are so excited to announce:

WE ARE ADOPTING!!!!


As I write this, I feel the Holy Spirit so strongly.  Tears are in my eyes.   Guys, Michael and I believe this was God's plan the whole time!   Before the creation of the world,  as He was knitting us together in our mother's wombs, we believe he was writing our story!   He was writing that one day He would match us with a baby (or babies!) that we were supposed to raise!   This is not plan B =)   Oh no, this is absolutely the plan of the Lord not only for me and Michael but the precious baby that he is going to give us the honor of raising.    And we couldn't be more excited! 

Where are we now:

So, here's where we are on the journey to Domestic Infant Adoption!   We have just completed our Home Study!   That's a huge step.  That step was necessary for our home study provider to come to visit our home, make sure we have a place suitable for the baby, and Michael and I are fit to parent!   We passed =) 

The next step is getting matched with a birth mom, and we are working with an incredible adoption consultant who will walk us through the rest of this process every step of the way!  Thank God for By Your Side Adoption!   

The money part:

If you have ever looked into Domestic Infant Adoption, or know someone who has, you know that this is a huge financial undertaking.   On average in the US, it ends up costing 40,000-45,000.    This covers things like the home study fee, the birth mom fees, the consultant fee, the attorney fee, post placement fees, and more.    

This financial part required took a huge leap of faith for Me and Michael to begin to move forward.   But we know and have proven the faithfulness of God time and time again in our lives, and we know He will be faithful again.

Will you be a part of our Journey?

First and foremost, will you pray for us?  Pray for wisdom.  Pray for peace.  Pray for the birth parents.  Pray for the babies.   Pray for the Holy Spirit to be present in every situation and that we would be sensitive to His leading.  

Would you consider giving?

I can't think of any better ground to sow into, than that of a little baby's life.   Just imagine, your prayers and financial support can help make this miracle a reality.    

We truly believe this little baby (or babies =) ) will be world changers!    I just know in my heart they are going to make an incredible impact on this world. I know they will grow up knowing the love of Jesus, the love of a family, a house full of worship, and a community of friends and family, who in my opinion are the very best in the whole world! 

$35,000 does seem like a whole lot!  I'm not going to lie!   But what if we all chipped in together to sow into a baby's life...

If 350 people gave $100, our goal would be complete!   How amazing is that????    

Certainly, you could do more or less depending on what's on your heart, but when I put it that way, the number doesn't seem so overwhelming!   

Thank you is not enough:

We just can't tell you how much this support would mean to us.   There's been an ache on the inside of our hearts for so long as we have prayed about the children God would give us.   All the times that we celebrated our friends having precious babies, all the while feeling the silent ache in our hearts...and then running to the safety of the arms of the Father, pouring out our hearts to Him.   Now we know!   And our hearts are full of expectation.
