Operation Adopt A Soldier

Late   Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17, 2019 a fire broke  out at the headquarters of Operation Adopt A Soldier  at 4281 Route 50 in Wilton.
Several fire departments and first responders responded to the scene and immediately started to attack the blaze that started in the utility room of the building which is also home to an apartment  and another business.
The fire resulted in a total loss  of the buildings contents which included donations and  more than 200 packages ready to be  sent to troops serving overseas.
We would like to thank Gansevoort, South Glens Falls and Wilton fire departments as well as Wilton EMS, Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and National Grid .
Firefighters were able to save  two American Flags  that encompassed signatures of military personnel.
We are currently accepting monetary donations through operationadoptasolider.org  and a list of items  and drop off locations is also available on our website.
Updates  will be posted  on our Facebook page and website as they become available.
Thank you for all of your continued support.
