<div>Hola, me llamo Andrea, estoy recaudando fondos para mi novio Juan Jesús, el día 28 de septiembre del presente año, ingreso al Hospital Juan Maria de Salvatierra de La Paz B.C.S., debido a que tuvo un accidente, practicaba para una competencia en cuatrimoto y desgraciadamente, un competidor se descontrolo y lo impacto por detrás, mi novio perdió el control de su moto y se estampo con un muro de tierra, para después volar 10 metros y caer inconsciente, sufrió varias heridas, empezando por fractura de vertebras de la t2 a la t5, dejándolo inmóvil de su cintura para abajo, también fractura en su antebrazo en el radio y cubito, fractura en su dedo meñique, quemadura en sus glúteos, fractura en su omoplato izquierdo y fractura de una costilla, se le realizo operación en la columna al día siguiente de su accidente, para poderla fijar, colocándole barras y tornillos, ahí fue donde nos comentaron que su medula había sufrido daños, por ende la perdida de movilidad y sensibilidad, dos semanas después lo operaron del antebrazo izquierdo y le rotaron huesos debido a que por el tiempo de espera, el hueso ya estaba soldando solo, le colocaron placas y tornillos, dos días después de su operación lo dieron de alta, a la semana tenía una hinchazón muy grave en su mano izquierda y al parecer nunca le revisaron sus dedos, tenía fractura en su dedo meñique, lo volvieron a ingresar a hospital, en el cual duró dos días, y lo volvieron a dar de alta.

<div>Mientras le realizaban todas las operaciones, tenían que realizarle diversos cuidados, como movilizaciones en "bloque", para prevención de escaras, pero debido a la poca movilización que podíamos realizarle las primeras semanas por su operación y por su fractura en omoplato y costilla, la quemadura en sus glúteos se complico, todo el tiempo que estuvo en el hospital seguimos las indicaciones para poderle curar dicha quemadura, incluso personal del hospital nos comentaban que iba mejorando, pero no era así, hasta que empeoro, ahora necesita nuevas cirugías para poderle controlar la infección en la herida de su quemadura y muy probablemente una colostomía.

<div>Hello, my name is Andrea, I am raising funds for my boyfriend Juan Jesús. On September 28th of this year, he was admitted to the Juan Maria de Salvatierra Hospital in La Paz, Baja California Sur, due to an accident. He was practicing for a quad bike competition when, unfortunately, a competitor lost control and hit him from behind. My boyfriend lost control of his bike and crashed into a dirt wall, then flew 10 meters and landed unconscious. He suffered several injuries, including fractures of vertebrae T2 through T5, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. He also suffered fractures to his forearm (radius and ulna), a fractured pinky finger, burns on his buttocks, a fractured left scapula, and a fractured rib. He underwent spinal surgery the day after his accident to stabilize his spine with rods and screws. It was then that they told us his spinal cord had been damaged, resulting in the loss of mobility and sensation. Two weeks later, he had surgery on his left forearm, and the bones were rotated because, due to the waiting time, the bone was already healing on its own. Plates and screws were placed. Two days after his surgery, he was discharged. A week later, he had severe swelling in his left hand, and it seemed his fingers were never checked. He had a fracture in his little finger. He was readmitted to the hospital, where he stayed for two days, and was discharged again.

<div>While he was undergoing all the surgeries, he required various forms of care, such as "block" mobilizations to prevent pressure sores. However, due to the limited mobility we could provide him in the first few weeks because of his surgery and his fractured scapula and rib, the burn on his buttocks became complicated. Throughout his hospital stay, we followed the instructions to treat the burn. Even hospital staff told us he was improving, but this wasn't the case; it worsened. Now he needs further surgeries to control the infection in his burn wound and will most likely require a colostomy.

This has been the most difficult thing we have ever been through. He needs surgeries, physical therapy, medical supplies, psychologists, and so much more that his recovery entails.
