Operacion Estamosunidos MEXICANOS

It is heartbreaking to see images and news about Mexico's earthquake and its victims. It is hard to be far away knowing that our family and friends are suffering.
This fundraiser was created for those of us that somehow have ties with Mexico. Whether we are Mexican and live abroad, or have family and friends in Mexico, or just have love for Mexico and it's people.
There are so many wonderful organizations that are raising funds for the relief of those affected by the earthquake. Unfortunately many times we have no idea where our money goes and what it is really used for.
I wanted to create a SMART fund to raise a little money to help my people. Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Realistic, Time-based.
My step brother Ricardo Arechiga had been volunteering with a solid group of people at shelters and relief centers. He has agreed to help me lead this operation by receiving the funds we raise, physically going out with his team to buy the most needed supplies which are currently tools, equipment and clothing, and personally delivering the items to those in the community that need them. The goal is to achieve all of this in less than 30 days.
We will get pictures and updates in order to ensure that our hard earned dollars are in fact being received by the Mexican people and not the Mexican government.
