Imagine a space where anyone in Yamhill County—from a seasoned DIYer to a first-time homeowner—can access the tools they need to complete projects, build their skills, and improve their lives. The McMinnville Tool Library is designed to be just that—a place where tools and resources are shared, creating a stronger, more connected community.
For the last 10 months, MTL volunteers have been hard at work meeting, discussing, and planning the Tool Library. The MTL is taking shape, as we've secured a location and have started assembling our inventory of tools. BUT, we need your support to cross the finish line and OPEN the Tool Library. If we can hit our fundraising goal, we can get the Tool Library open soon!
With your help, we can make the McMinnville Tool Library a reality. By pooling our resources, we can offer everyone in our community access to high-quality tools without the cost and clutter of owning them. It’s a win for our environment, our local economy, and for our community!
To get the Tool Library up and running, we need to raise $5,000 to cover the following key expenses:
- New Tools: Ensuring we have the most commonly used tools in top condition for checkout.
- Shelving and Storage: Organizing our tools in a way that’s safe, accessible, and easy to navigate.
- Signage: Making our space welcoming and clear for all to find what they need.
- Workshop Supplies: Startup costs in hosting educational workshops, i.e. a projector, whiteboard, etc.
- Software: Required to keep track of members and inventory.
