Open Our Hearts to Houston

Donation protected
Maid Brigade leaves things better than the way we found them.  We can do that in Houston now.

The open heart in our logo symbolizes that which is unique about Maid Brigade - the way that we care for and about others.

It is time for us to care for our Houston Maid Brigade family as they begin to rebuild from this devastating and historic disaster, Harvey.

Open Our Hearts to Houston Relief Fund

The Maid Brigade corporate office is establishing this fund to help our employees and franchisees in Houston (Jack Calkins, Jim Fordice, Richard Journey and Robert Moser) recover from their losses.

Our first priorities are helping those within Maid Brigade who are affected by flood damage to their homes and/or cars, beginning with our valued employees, followed by our franchisees. If any funds are left over, we will donate to a charity dedicated to relief for the citizens of Houston.

Our goal is to raise $15,000. I will start the fund with a $1500 donation on behalf of the corporate office. Please give in any amount that you can.

Here are some comments from our franchisees in the Houston area about the situation on the ground there:

"Several employees lost their cars due to water damage and several had flooding in their apartments and homes. I have seven team members that are still out due to flooding of their cars and/or apartments. I also have one field manager that had 2" of water in her apartment."

"One customer service manager lost her car and her apartment. Yesterday she received a notice to vacate her apartment within five days."

"Even those, like myself, that are fortunate enough to have not sustained any damage are still kind of traumatized."

"We do have clients that were affected and that will likely result in some skips and cancellations. Feeling very fortunate compared to our neighboring MB families and many many clients."

"Within our area I've had at least 3 employees that have lost their homes and cars, many are displaced throughout the city. I'm am hoping to reassemble the ones that I can. My people are my greatest concern. I have an employee that is 64 years old, her house is flooded and her car is ruined and I can't get to her."

"I am really concerned for what I fear is a large number of our clients that are under water. In many areas it is as bad as you have likely seen on TV."

"THANK YOU for your continued thoughts and prayers."
