Open For Business: Martini Room

These are uncertain times, to say the least. The term "Open For Business" has a whole new meaning. Bars and restaurants have had to quickly adjust their plans in order to remain open, and though we've seen people come together in very encouraging ways, due to this pandemic the reality is that local businesses are suffering.  Therefore, we here at Tunes For A Minute have taken it upon ourselves to pull our resources and support communities and artists as much as we can. We strive to adopt a new meaning for the term Open For Business. We may not be able to see our favorite bands in person but we can still hear them play live; we may not be able to sit down and eat and our favorite restaurants but we can still enjoy their food; we may not all be able to meet up at the bars we frequent but their spaces can still be utilized and we as a community can support that. 

In an effort to accomplish this we are partnering with Waveform Media to broadcast another high-quality live stream performance this time at Martini Room in Elgin IL, with Elgin's own Covington Groove. Martini Room has been an advocate for artists in Elgin for over 14 years and they need us, they need YOU, now more than ever.

Here's the idea: typically when you pay a cover it goes to the band. In this case, we're using your donations (think of them as covers) to support Elgin, namely, Martini Room and Covington Groove.

The success of these live streaming events is greatly increased by mobilizing the community in Elgin. Sharing posts, inviting people to view, and most importantly getting others in the community to share posts and to get their friends to share and tune in.
