Capitol Advertising is geared toward teaching students how to develop effective and strategic advertising campaigns. The team spends four months creating and prepping a campaign to compete in The National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC).
It becomes the team’s responsibility to research the client (this year's client is PIZZA HUT), identify problem areas, devise an advertising/marketing campaign, and produce a written plans books that address media, budget, creative, and accountability concerns. The team then pitches their ideas to the client and top industry professionals in 20-minute presentation in NY.
Last year, Capitol Advertising took 1st place in New York after presenting their “Just Watch Me” Campaign to executives from five different agencies.
Now, we are raising money to help us get to our district competition in NY! We travel via bus and stay two nights to present and we need funds to get us there! We would love your help!
