Help Save Opal the Duck!

Whenever I go fishing at local Shiller Park, a certain duck always swims up and cuddles near me. This time, some local kids were taunting this particular duck with worms on hooks. Their guardians took them home, but it was too late. The duck had swallowed a hook and sinker, and had several feet of fishing line trailing from her mouth.
I spent time that night trying to coax the duck into my arms again, but she wasnt having it. So thew next morning, I bought more wax worms and I was able to pick her up again and get her to a vet. Apparently since she is not a native ohio species, the Ohio Wildlife Center won't help. That means I have to privately fundraise to get this sweet duck the surgery she needs to save her life. We have xrayed her already. The hook is long and barbed, and although it might have passed on its own, she also swallowed a lead sinker, meaning she will slowly die of lead poisoning as her gizzard breaks down the poison. Plus, the stones in her gizzard keep stirring up the hook, and it is only a matter of time before the hook stabs her internally.
I have found a vet who will do the surgery, but I will need to raise between 850 and 1300 for the procedure. There may be after care appointments, and things always coAst more then you are told, so I am seeking 1500 to ensure this duck can receive the medical care she needs. All money raised will be used to cover the duck's medical needs and care for her while she is ill. I have a soft spot for innocent creatures that humans hurt. Do you?
