Help Kash, Jess, and Kyle!!!

Kash is a 17 month only happy, smart, and loveable little boy who lights up the room wherever he goes.  Prior to a month ago Kash hit every developmental milestone just like every other baby....climbing, crawling, playing, etc...  Around the 2nd week of February, Mom and Dad began to notice a difference in Kash's gross motor skills.  At that point, Kash started to show tightness in his left hand, arm, and leg; which led to Kash becoming frustrated with the fact that he could not do what he was once able to do.  Due to the parent's concerns and Kash's clear frustration, he was taken to the pediatrician.  He was then subjected to a series of bloodtests, x-rays of his legs and hips, and a CT scan all of which came back normal.  As days went on the parent's frustration began to grow and Kash grew more frustrated with his inability to engage in simple playing behaviors.  An instinct that only a parent can experience kicked in and he was taken down to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)Emergency Room and they have been there ever since.   The medical staff have run a lot of bloodwork (some that has been read there and others have been sent out to other locations), they did an MRI and a lumbar spinal tap.  It was determined through the MRI that Kash has a white matter disease, but they are unsure which one and whether or not it is progressive or static.  The bloodwork that has been normal/negative has given them hope for future results which will take 4-8 weeks to get back.  On Tuesday March 10th, Kash was moved to the rehab center where he will receive intense physical and occupational therapy.  Mom and Dad report that Kash has been responding very well to this therapy, so they are increasing the time he will spend working on his muscle strength and motor skills.  Their little boy is very determined to get back the skills he once had and to continue to grow.  Please keep Kash and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.  It is the hope that the results continue to come back negative and whatever white matter disease he has is static.
Jess and Kyle will endure significant financial strain due to this unforseen situation and could definately use our help.  The current discharge date for Kash is March 28th and could go much longer depending on the results found. With this in mind, Jess will be spending everyday with her 17 month old son and Kyle will need to endure the traveling back and forth to Philadelphia.  I have set a 6,000 goal in hopes to relieve some of the pressure with their medical bills, mortgage, and traveling expenses, so they can focus on their son getting better.  Any help that you can give I know would be greatly appreciated by the family!  Thank you in advance for all of your support!!
