Fire destroys elderly couples home

My elderly parents lost their home of over thirty years and thousands of dollars of belongings on Saturday March 7th to a fire. We are all absolutely heart broken but grateful to be alive. Due to structural damage the home is unable to be repaired and would need to be torn down. The home and land have been in our family for over a hundred years and we would give anything to be able to rebuild and keep the land we love, and at this point we feel like we have all lost our oldest friend. Due to an accidental lapse in insurance they will not receive any help with funds except from Red Cross and family. 

My father has worked his entire life as a roofer to support seven children and only recently retired last year at 71. It breaks our hearts knowing he worked so hard his whole life to take care of us to end up with nothing! My mother is truly the most wonderful human being I have ever known and has spent her whole life helping others, giving to charities and would give her everything to help someone else but refuses to accept help from others now that they are in a time of need. I would give her the world if I could but this is all I can do to help them at this point. Any donations that can be raised would make a difference in helping them and I can not think of anyone that deserves it more than they do. We thank you with all our hearts for any help we receive
