Laurie's stroke recovery

Since Laurie's strokes in May and December of 2013, Laurie's progress has been remarkable by the grace of God.  However, we are still dealing with Aphasia as well as balance issues and limited mobility of Laurie's right arm and leg.  Through much research, we have found a treatment that may reverse some of these effects.  This medicine, Enbrel, has been reported to help 80% of the stroke patients who receive it and some have even fully regained their speech.  The treatment consists of two injections, given two weeks apart, into the neck.  The medication then flows to the brain and reduces inflamation in the stroke affected area.  Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by insurance and the cost is quite high.  Each injection costs $6,700.  The treatment is only available to be given in Boca Raton, Florida or Sanfrancisco, California, so there are travel expenses involved as well.
