On My Way Back - A CD project

Donation protected
Hi folks,
My name is Christopher Sapienza.  I'm a actor, singer, teacher, producer and am about to embark on recording my debut CD - "On My Way Back"

A few years ago I was diagnosed with Acute Congenital Spinal Stenosis.  It's a condition I was born with that I was unaware of until the pain was so severe that I could barely walk.  As one doctor told me I was heading for a life in a wheel chair.  My career as an actor of stage and screen came to an abrupt halt.  I was no longer able to perform and my spot light quickly dimmed to a blackout.

In June of 2011 I had reconstructive surgery on my spine.  I woke up the next morning, sat up in my hospital bed, and for the first time in nearly 5 years I was pain free.  I swore to my surgeon that I would be back on stage one year from then.  And I was.  In August of 2012, my one-man show,  "ON MY WAY BACK" premiered in Philadelphia to great reviews.  The show chronicles my life from how I got started in the entertainment industry, stories of my youth, etc.  All the while leading up to when I had to stop performing and how I dealt with that in my day to day life.  ON MY WAY BACK was my return to the stage, after years of thinking that I'd never be able to perform again.

ON MY WAY BACK - A CD Project, is the next step for me on this journey of returning to performing.  I have been asked time and time again if I recorded the show.  "I want to hear that Proud Of Your Boy song again!"  Well I did not record the performance for resale (archival only) and would love to be able to do so now.  But alas, it takes far more money to do than I could handle on my own.

So yes, I am letting down my guard, and with a humble heart ask....would you be willing to help me in reaching my goal to record my Debut CD?

I have an amazing production team at the helm:
John Grecia - Music Director
Vince Leonard - Arranger
Jack Klotz, Jr. - Producing Engineer
Jim Salamone - Cambridge Studios

Orchestra:
String quartet
Upright Bass
Percussion
Piano

The monies raised are to go to studio time, salaries of the production team and musicians, mixing and final pressings.  My hope is to record Mid to late June 2013 and have the fine CD ready for resale by September.  Not a lot of time but I'm hoping to remount the show for the Philly Fringe/Live Arts Festival in September of 2013 and would love to have the CD on sale at that time.

If you can contribute $5, $25, $100 or even $1000, you are helping me attain a dream that I thought would never happen.

Forever, I am grateful!
Chris
