Ongoing care for Nino's Kidney Disease

Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to Nino's BestFriends Strut Your Mutt (and Cat!) 2022 Fundraiser which ended on 10/31/2022. With your help, we raised over $1400 for Nino!

After visits to our vet at Cooper Square Vet, it has been determined that Nino will need ongoing supportive care for kidney deterioration, among other issues such as hair loss. He will require a special diet, hydration, security, and love. And therefore, we set up this GoFundMe page to support Nino's ongoing care.

If you need a refresh or are new to Nino’s story… He is a 12 year old senior cat with health issues that KittyKind and @partnershipforshelteranimals are partnering to give him the support and care he needs. Nino was an owner surrender to the ACC. He was a favorite at the facility, but after several months in the cage, Nino had noticeable hair loss and loss of body weight. PSANYC pulled Nino out of there and got him into a foster home.

Nino has been recovering really well in his foster home. He is gaining weight and growing his hair back. He fetches his mouse for his exercise and he also now plays hide and seek! His bodily functions are normal for a cat on maximum kidney disease maintenance.
