Over five years ago, Donna and Ryan met to see how they could put their passion for working with youth into action. Out of this initial discussion was born One Step Ministries in July of 2016. One Step is an organization that focuses on meeting the unmet needs of children and youth.
It is all too clear that today's youth are not being given what they need to survive. The statistics of the rise of negative behaviors are stagering. Studies also show the difference and impact that simple things as mentors, social interaction and positive environments and activities can have to alter these outcomes. This is why One Step Ministries first priority is to establish Teen Centers in the community. These will be locations that youth can visit between the time that they get out of school and go home. It will provide them with a chance to socialize with other youth and adults in a positive environment, become involved in opportunities and explore areas of interest.
The center is an opportunity to fill a void in the lives of today's youth and to help change the trend that we are currently seeing. To do this, we need your help. Please join those of us at One Step who want to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth. We ask that you prayerfully consider how you can contribute to supporting this ministry. Through your support, we can be the change that we need to turn the tide.
